In about two months, Apple will take the wraps off the iPhone 17, and the debate over which one to buy can begin. But until then, there will be a steady stream of leaks, renders, and rumors as Apple puts the finishing touches on the phones.
The latest comes from Majin Bu, who reports on the colors expected for the iPhone 17 Air. As he describes, the phone will come in four: black, silver, light gold, and the previously rumored light blue. He also provides a render of what the colors are expected to look like, as seen below.

Of note, the four colors mirror those available with the MacBook Air, which comes in Midnight (black), Starlight (gold), silver, and sky blue. It makes sense that an iPhone Air model would align with the same options. Plus, black, silver, and gold are the most common iPhone colors.
At any rate, the renders here give us a good look at the design of the iPhone 17 Air. The camera bar houses a single lens and stretches across the back of the phone like the Google Pixel 9 Pro, but is positioned much closer to the top edge. The Apple logo, which is expected to be pushed down on the Pro models to accommodate the larger camera bump, is in the same position as on the iPhone 16.
While the camera bar may be polarizing, there’s no doubt about the clean look. The camera bar adds a sense of balance to the back of the phone, and the color-matched array adds a stylish design element. We don’t get to see the side of the phone here, but we know from previous rumors that the camera bar sticks out quite a bit due to the extreme thinness of the iPhone 17 Air.
